Our History
Larry Dardano was a gymnast at North Denver High School in the 1960’s. He earned a gymnastics scholarship to attend Colorado State University. After graduating, he came back to North Denver High School as a science teacher and also coached football and gymnastics.
After North High School ended its gymnastics program in 1983, Larry decided to realize his lifelong dream and open a gymnastics school in the Park Hill neighborhood. He was able to purchase an old shopping center and completely renovated the space to be able to accommodate a full gymnastics program for both boys and girls.
Two of his three daughters, Gina and Donyella, grew up in this gym. Today, Gina is the program director and oversees the day-to-day operations of the entire facility. Here at Dardano’s, gymnastics is our family legacy and we take pride in what we do. We strive to create a fun, safe, positive environment where your child can thrive not only as an athlete but also as an individual.
